970 Select is available to players in grades 4th - 8th Grade as of Spring 2022.
Depending on interest and numbers, we may be able to create 2 teams at each age group so that all those that want to play are able to play this coming summer. These teams would play in upper and lower divisions to match the skill set of the teams created.
Price
The price of the teams will be $1,150 and will include off season practices and workouts, 2 practices per week during the summer season and 3 tournaments. Off season work will include 13 SAQ Sessions from November - February, 10 1 hour off season indoor practices November - March (2 per month) and 4 1.5 hour practices outdoors in April and May.
Tournaments
The Tournaments that the select teams will play in are the Denver Shootout, June 17 - 19, the Mile High Classic, June 25 - 26, and the Western Shootout, July 9th/10th. (Dates and Tournaments are tentative)
Tryouts: Ideally, we would like all players to make both tryouts however, if you are only able to make one that is also OK. If you are unable to make either of these tryouts, please reach out to Josh at Jschwall54@gmail.com so we can figure out how to get your son evaluated.

- 4th/5th/6th Grade will tryout from 12 - 2 pm

- 4th/5th/6th Grade will tryout from 2 - 4 pm
- 7th and 8th Grade will tryout from 4 - 6 pm

- These tryouts are for 970 Spring as well as 970 Select
After tryouts, Coaches will have until October 20th to determine teams and assess any players that may not have been able to make either of these tryout dates. Select teams will begin their off season training together in November. (Dates of Practices to be released within the week following the tryouts)
Deposit
Because we are doing these tryouts so early and because we want to make sure we have a commitment from players for the spring and/or the summer seasons, we will be requiring that 20% of player registration is paid at least 1 week after receiving your invite to the team that you have made. Failure to not send in the deposit on time will relinquish the player's position on the team and the next player on the list will receive their invite. This will apply to both Spring and Summer teams. These deposits will not be refundable as we will be using them to register all teams for tournaments, renting out facilities and registering for the CYLA and AYL seasons.
