Spring 2022 AYL Central Teams (Red Teams)

The AYL is a league based out of Denver. This league will offer our more competitive players the ability to play against higher level competition in Denver. We will have AYL Teams at the Upper 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th Grade Levels to give those teams better competition than they would receive in the CYLA. These teams are made by invite only and you have to have tried out during the time shown below in order to receive an invite to these teams.
Price: $400
AYL price includes 3 practices per week, the AYL Season and the AYL Playoffs and Championships.
Optional Tournaments
The option for teams to then play in the Steamboat Classic Tournament (date TBD) and/or the Colorado Jamboree (June 4-5, 2022) will be up to each team and will be $150 per player per tournament. This decision will be made by each individual team depending on if there is enough interest to play.
Tryouts: Ideally, we would like all players to make both tryouts however, if you are only able to make one that is also OK. If you are unable to make either of these tryouts, please reach out to Josh at Jschwall54@gmail.com so we can figure out how to get your son evaluated.
  • When: October 9th 12 - 4 pm
    • 4th/5th/6th Grade will tryout from 12 - 2 pm
    • 7th and 8th Grade will tryout from 2 - 4 pm
  • When: October 10th 2 - 6 pm
    • 4th/5th/6th Grade will tryout from 2 - 4 pm
    • 7th and 8th Grade will tryout from 4 - 6 pm
  • Where: English Ranch Park
  • Price: $20
  • These tryouts are for 970 Spring as well as 970 Select

After tryouts, Coaches will have until October 20th to determine teams and assess any players that may not have been able to make either of these tryout dates. Select teams will begin their off season training together in November. (Dates of Practices to be released within the week following the tryouts)

Deposit

Because we are doing these tryouts so early and because we want to make sure we have a commitment from players for the spring and/or the summer seasons, we will be requiring that 20% of player registration is paid at least 1 week after receiving your invite to the team that you have made. Failure to not send in the deposit on time will relinquish the player's position on the team and the next player on the list will receive their invite. This will apply to both Spring and Summer teams. These deposits will not be refundable as we will be using them to register all teams for tournaments, renting out facilities and registering for the CYLA and AYL seasons.

Spring 2022 AYL North Teams (White & Blue Teams)

No tryout is required for these teams and you can register directly for the grade level that you are on. As we get closer to the Spring season we will begin to form the teams, release coaches, practice locations and times as well as other information required for the season.
